A woman is pottery wheel throwing clay on a spinning wheel in a ceramics studio. She is wearing a white tank top and green apron, with various pottery tools and ceramics in progress around her.

Description

The wheel is about rhythm, repetition, and learning to trust your hands.

Over four weeks, we’ll focus on the core foundations of wheel throwing—centering, pulling walls, shaping, and trimming—at a pace that leaves room to breathe. Some pieces will work. Some won’t. That’s not failure; that’s how muscle memory is built.

This class is designed to take the pressure off. You don’t need to “save” clay or be precious about results. Everything you need is already included, so you’re free to try, flop, reset, and keep going.

What’s included:

  • Unlimited clay during class and practice time

  • All tools provided

  • Glaze provided

  • No stress about flops — it’s all part of the process and covered in your monthly cost

4-Week Handbuilding Class (Plant theme)

Schedule

  • Sundays | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Person working with clay on a slab at a pottery or sculpture studio, surrounded by tools and clay pieces.

Description

Handbuilding is the raised-bed garden of ceramics: steady, satisfying, and wildly creative. We’ll build forms with slabs, coils, and pinch techniques—then refine them with texture, attachments, and details that make the piece feel like yours.

This class is perfect if you like a little more time to think, shape, and play. You’ll leave with skills you can reuse forever—and pieces that carry your fingerprints in the best way.

What’s included:

  • Unlimited clay during class and practice time

  • All tools provided

  • Glaze provided

  • No stress about flops — everything is included in your monthly cost, so experimenting is part of the plan
