What to Expect

We’ll teach you the basics. You handle the mud.

A Try-It is a guided introduction to the pottery wheel—not a test, not an audition, and definitely not a commitment to becoming a potter.

We’ll get you set up at the wheel and walk you through the process step by step. You’ll learn how to work with the clay, try centering, and start shaping a piece of your own.

Some pieces become bowls. Some become cups. Some become very confident little blobs.

All of it counts.

  • Beginner-friendly wheel instruction

  • Clay + studio tools included

  • Small-group guidance

  • Firing for one finished piece included

  • No pressure to sign up for anything afterward

Come once because you’re curious. Come back because you want another shot at it. Take a monthly class when you’re ready—or don’t.

There’s no wrong next step.
