A pottery studio with shelves holding unglazed ceramic cups, bowls, and vases, a pottery wheel with a ceramic piece, a stool, woven basket, and natural light from a window.

PROLOGUE

$145

10 HOUR MEMBERSHIP

Prologue

$145 / month

10-HOUR STUDIO MEMBERSHIP

For makers who want a consistent place to create without going full-unlimited.

Prologue gives you up to 10 hours of studio access each month—enough time to build a regular clay practice, work on personal projects, and stay connected to the studio community.

It’s a good fit for people who want more freedom than a scheduled class, but don’t need unlimited access. Come in during member hours, settle into your workspace, and make at your own pace.

No rushing. No pressure to produce. Just a dependable place to keep showing up and see where the clay takes you.

What’s included:

• Up to 10 hours of studio access each month
• Access during designated member hours
• Use of pottery wheels
• Use of handbuilding tables
• Use of shared studio tools and equipment
• Access to the Grit & Grog member community

How clay & firing work

Clay must be purchased through Grit & Grog.

Firing fees are separate from the monthly membership price and are based on the amount of kiln space your work uses.

Using studio clay helps us protect the kilns, avoid material compatibility issues, and keep the firing process as smooth as pottery can reasonably be—which is to say, mostly smooth.

At this time, outside clay is not accepted.

Good to know

• Membership includes up to 10 studio hours per month
• Unused hours do not roll over
• Instructor-led classes and workshops are not included
• Additional storage may be available separately
• Members are responsible for cleaning their workspace and tools after each visit

Find your rhythm.

You don’t have to live at the studio to build a meaningful clay practice. Sometimes, 10 intentional hours are exactly what you need to slow down, make something with your hands, and keep your creative story moving.

UNLIMITED STUDIO MEMBERSHIP

For potters ready to make clay a regular part of their life.

Next Chapter is our full-access membership for makers who want the freedom to build a consistent studio practice without watching the clock.

Come in during member hours, use the studio at your own pace, and give yourself the repetition it takes to grow. Some days you’ll make your favorite piece yet. Other days the clay will humble you publicly. Both count.

This membership is designed for potters who want flexibility, room to experiment, and a creative home they can return to again and again.

What’s included:

• Unlimited studio access during designated member hours
• Use of pottery wheels
• Use of handbuilding tables
• Use of shared studio tools and equipment
• Access to the Grit & Grog member community
• The freedom to create without tracking monthly studio hours

At this time, outside clay is not accepted.

Good to know

• Studio access is available during designated member hours
• Instructor-led classes, workshops, private lessons, and events are separate unless explicitly stated
• Membership does not guarantee availability in classes, workshops, events, firing schedules, or storage
• Additional storage may be available separately
• Members are expected to follow all studio policies related to safety, conduct, cleanup, shared-space care, and community standards

Make this your place.

Next Chapter is for the potter who wants more than an occasional class. It’s a place to show up consistently, take creative risks, build your skills, and become part of a community that understands why you’re emotionally attached to a slightly wonky mug.

The Library Card

$95/month

The Library Card

$95 / month

For makers who have their own workspace but need a place for their pieces to land.

The Library Card is designed for potters who prefer to make from home but still want access to the equipment—and community—they need to finish their work.

Think of it like an actual library card: you do the making in your own space, then bring your pieces to Grit & Grog to glaze and fire.

It’s simple, flexible, and built for small batches and quick visits. No need to build a kiln shed in your backyard or start researching electrical upgrades at 2 a.m. We’ve got that part covered.

What’s included:

• Access to studio glazes during open studio time
• Bisque and glaze firing for work made with studio clay
• Convenient drop-off and pickup
• A simple way to stay connected to the Grit & Grog community

What’s not included

The Library Card does not include:

• Studio work time
• Use of pottery wheels
• Use of handbuilding areas
• Use of shared studio tools or equipment
• Studio storage

This membership is intended for small batches of personal work—not production pottery, large-volume firing, or taking up permanent residence beside the kiln. We love you, but people will talk.

Make at home. Finish with us.

You don’t need your own fully equipped studio to keep making pottery. You just need a place where your work can safely land—and a community that’s happy to see you when it does.

Not sure which membership fits?

Start with The Library Card if you make at home and just need a place to glaze, fire, and keep your work moving.

Choose Prologue if you want a steady studio rhythm with up to 10 hours each month.

Pick Next Chapter if you know clay is becoming part of your regular life and you want unlimited access during member hours.

Still unsure?

Membership at Grit & Grog isn’t about how much you produce.
It’s about having access to a place where you’re allowed to grow.

When you’re ready, we’ll be here.
