This is your low-pressure introduction to wheel throwing at Grit & Grog.
We’ll walk you through the basics step by step—how to get comfortable at the wheel, center the clay, and start shaping something that vaguely resembles pottery.
Maybe it becomes a bowl. Maybe it becomes a cup. Maybe the clay has other plans.
Either way, the point is to try it.
You don’t need experience, your own tools, or any idea what you’re doing before you walk through the door.

Good to know
Ages 14+
Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. Clay usually washes out, but this is not the evening for your favorite white sweater.
Please arrive about 10 minutes early so we can get everyone settled before we start.
Your finished piece will stay with us for firing. We’ll let you know when it’s ready for the next step/pickup.
